Description

Is your school preparing to teach Core Maths A-Level from September 2020?

If you are already teaching Core Maths, would you like to build confidence and develop your teaching further.

This work group is aimed at teachers either teaching or preparing to teach Core Maths A Level in September 2020, with a focus on numerical fluency, statistical literacy and the use of technology.

The Work Group will develop the ideas from the group currently running at Brackenhale, although you do not need to have attended this first!

Many of the sessions are consistent with the new A level Maths, including the use of technology to work with a large data set, so teachers of A level Maths may also find benefit in attending the work group.

The Work Group will run from 4.15 - 5.45pm on Wednesdays 6 May, 3 June, 24 June and 8 July at Edgbarrow School, Crowthorne.

2 teachers from each school should attend all 4 sessions and complete intersessional tasks.

NB. As with all our Free or Funded Maths Hub Work Groups and programmes, we are funded by the Department for Education and therefore have to prioritise State Funded schools. If spaces are still available we are able to offer these to Independent schools, however we will need to charge fees and these will be advised separately.
